Great news! The California Department of Fish & Game let us know that they picked up Smokey's signal via telemetry yesterday in the same general area where he was released and where his signal has been picked up before.

This news just made my day. Thank you so much for the update. I pray that he lives a very long and content life being went through such an ordeal. I love that Lil Bear and all his caretakers, a BIG THANK YOU!

Lil Smokey is so lucky that there are some good people in this world. Thank you to all who helped nurse this little guy back to health and also to those who kept and still keep Lil Smokey in their thoughts and prayers!

Oh, thats such wonderful news! How I miss that bear and hope he's happy and has found some friends and a companion and enjoying his life, because he so deserves it! I love him and miss him and he will always hold a very special place in my heart.
