With the Labor Day weekend now over, we can concentrate on getting you some regular updates on Li’l Smokey.
The good news is that there have been no adverse effects on Smokey’s right rear paw which, since last Wednesday (August 27), has had no medication/ointment or dressings. When Dr Willitts made this decision, he also decided to keep the bootie on that paw, just to make sure Smokey wouldn’t want to start chewing. This has worked out well, and Smokey is adjusting to the new feel.
Tonight, Dr Willitts will be back at LTWC to do the "once every three days" changing of the rest of the dressings for the other three paws. He has already told us that he will be taking a hard look at the right rear paw to see just how the cub is accepting the new feel.
So, tomorrow, we will have some updated pictures with a report on what Dr Willitts will find on his exam and bandage change. Check in tomorrow and see what's new!
